Great looking camper van!

I stopped visiting the other Aerostar forum because they were badgering me subscribe (for cash payments). I left brooklynbay a goodbye note on the way out. Can you use it without paying?

That van is pretty cool. I've got a 97 Aerostar with the pop top. I love it. 210,000 on the original engine.

I use my van for work and I've been living out of it for about 5 years every other week. It is not nearly as clean as yours. Pretty utilitarian but it does run good. I'm a new member with some questions on idle issues that I am bringing to the table. I'll try and throw some pictures on today. Again I forewarn that they are not nearly as clean as the ones you have up. Thanks for your interest

Fender trim

It went great and very easy.
1. You must remove 6 screws on each side of the front fender well in inner shield is attached to the outside at the rim lip.
2 I took blue painters tape 1-1/2 wide and covered the cut ares in an arch so I don't mess up the paint and my line is easer to see.
3. I used a sharpie and a a dummy guide first I started with a combo square but being 12 inches long it was a bother so I had an old L bracket from a old wood project it was 1 1-1/2 inches long the fender line on the eyebrow is just over 1" high.
4. I put the bracket on the fender lip the sharpie on the other end and traces a arch the shape of the fender on the paper 1 inch high all the way around.
5. Used a 4" cut off disc and it took 2 minutes each fender wear glasses you deffenly need them for sparks and junk inside the lip that's hiding.
Now that both were cut I had many options,my van was ruffer than yours my looked more jeep like not pretty like yours so I went to pep boys they sell fender well molding black chrome peal and stick its about $50 or more bucks and flairs were $100. So since I'm jeepish looking I went to Home Depot for $6.00 I bought a 10 ft length of pvc type of pipe I could have used alumin or metal. The pipe comes center line marked fron the factory. Clamped it in my vice and cut a slit the whole length. If I really wanted a rubber look I could have use pipe insluntation it's pre cut. The wheel lip came out to be 42" I cut the pipe and heated it with a hot air gun just to soften it a little and pushed it on the cut lip. Magic it's done. I removed it painted it black and pit it back on. Used some fender trim glue and it worked great. After looking at it I had to do the rear with the rear left stock the LAN looked like it was lower in the front from the look of bigger front lower rear. Repeated same thing. I didn't get photos of that project after that I sold my van because I'm moving from Vegas to jersey and did not want to ship van. After 2 1/2 years of tinkering I learn a lot. I'm going to look for a unit like yours or do a full size Ford van.

Thanks, I'm damn glad I found it. It's sitting for the winter, which gives me time for tune up and maintenance.
