No problem! They are for black and I know that the description when searching is very vague and no pictures (I questions the parts guy as well) but he assured me that they are black and illuminated. At $114.13 list, they better light up!

Today was a bitter sweet day, traded in my fully loaded '17 Raptor for the '18 F250, I am going to miss it as it was an amazing truck...

 

Even if it isn't plug and play, it would be relatively simple to wire up. And yes, PLEASE share pictures.

 

How hard is it to get those plates off? I couldn't quite see how they clipped on.

 

Does anyone have a picture of what these plates look like? I'm not sure if I've seen them..

 

For anybody swapping out their 2018 unlit Platinum sills, would you be interested in selling them? I'm thinking I'll rob the ones out of my '17 when I upgrade to a newer truck and need something to put back in.

 

They are very faint "Ice Blue" and only illuminate when you open the doors.. Wish you could change the color to match the mood lighting

That's not a part number. It's an engineering number. There is no description for lighted one in 17, but the "premium aluminum" ones are HC3Z 2613209 AA for the left and
HC3Z 2613208 AA for the right. The retail is $102.82 each the standard one retail for about $18.00
That's for a crew cab.

But is there a difference between a '16 and '17 sill plate??? I've seen some for F-150s, just not one I've liked yet...

 

I thought the illuminated sill plates were ugly at first...now I like them! I agree, I think we'll see a lot of guys making this upgrade, especially if the wiring is there. That's a plus.
