Still looking for a pickup. Are their years to stay way from with the 6.2. Seems like everybody says stay away from the 2011 6.7 but I haven't heard anything about the 6.2.

It is damn hard to find a 6.2 lariat crew long bed. The ones I have found were just as expensive as the diesels.

Oh and also. Is it true the f350 were rated with less hp and tq?!

Yeah that has been the case for a lot of used 6.2 buyers. The diesel guys would never believe it though, they still think they hold a 10k+ resale margin.

Each the year's of the 6.2 seem to be equally reliable. I wouldn't hesitate on any good deal because of the year.

The only ones I know that are de rated are the Commercial cab and Chassis 6.7's.
All the Super Duty 6.2's have less HP and Torque than the ones they put in the 11-14 F150 and Raptor. From what I was told it is because of noise and OSHA.

Some of the 2015 6.2's had a problem with the oil baffles causing excessive oil consumption. I never had any problem with mine.

Some 2011 had some transmission issues that were resolved with a reflash of the transmission computer.

The F350 was rated lower in the specs but it was just taken from a lower rpm to appear it was derated but it's really the same.

Not to be rude, but is there any verification for that. I would really hate to buy a f350 and discover it's a turd. There is no internal engine difference, cam, heads etc?

The f350 HP and torque ratings are taken at lower rpm's. I think the ford site will show that. It's been talked about on here a few times. I driven the 250 and 350 and there is no difference in power, cams or anything internal. I was worried about that when I bought my truck. Don't worry they are the exact same motor.

Well I just bought. A 2014 6.7. Just couldn't find a 6.2 lariat long bed. Thanks for all your help and wish me luck with the diesel!

Don't know what sites you used or if it was just the F350 you were looking for but there are a couple of F250 long beds on Car Gurus that fit.

i was just after the f350. I know there is almost no difference but I wanted to make sure I got the overload springs. And it seems like the 350's sat higher.
