I've been doing a lot of searching until cross eyed. I have a 97 crown Vic clip and rear diff, I know it's narrower but requires a hack of frame. kind of frowned on in Canada but people do it. The 03 up is too wide, but could be narrowed, but brings its own problems due to frame width. Speedway makes a mustangII front crossmember. Can I se any of the Early cv stuff with a mustang cross member? Is there a way to remove the early CV stuff, narrow the steel crossmember and fit to frame? Or just go all mustangII? Thanks. Anyone have pics of early cv done

There are several vendors that narrow the 03 up CV cradles.
I would doubt that anything from the CV will cross over to the Mustang II subframe.
I have, as do pleanty others, a 03 up Crown Vic frontend under my 56 Panel with 96 up Mustang wheels. Everything fits between the fenders no modifications required. I guess if you didn't like the CV frontend you could revert back to original without too many issues.
I personallly wouldn't use the 97 stuff because I believe you have to graft it to your frame.

Earlier than 03 up CV
