I'll grab some pictures after the race, the owners handyman was cutting down dead branches yesterday and I'm sure that I'll find lots of wood between now and the cold, just need to create a venting/ heat exchanger system.

Theres a new barrel stove on kijiji for $120, I've had one before and they can be made to work pretty good. The barrel needs a fair amount of thick, heavy metal on the bottom to protect it and a 3" pipe or 3 put through it to create a heat exchanger. A 110 fan will power the heating system, cheap and efficient.

When I lived in Toronto the town cut down a Maple tree in front of our house, they bucked it up in stove wood lengths and left it. They said that they'd come back in a few days and if any was left they'd haul it away. They swept up the sawdust..lol

If you're looking for firewood...I've got a maple tree in the back yard I want gone...FREE for the taking!!! Just clean up after yourself please.

I don't understand your problem Shaun...it's only about a 14 hour round trip...probably take you a couple days to take the tree down and clean up.

Think of all the syrup you could have if you tapped the tree Ken.
The new hole in the wall
it has its own front door
fire wood to start with and a place to put my ugly trailer
a back yard to chase the cats around in
has a back door also
enough room for both trucks in back, garage is 22'
15' from garage/ fence line to easement
Not the prettiest but appears to be the best option for what I'm doing, has a finished basement and if I bought a stove it would be rentable, but thats not likely to happen. Garage has 230 line to it but its disconnected, that will change.

The furnace is 12 years old, same as the water heater, most everything here is on gas, stove is electric. This place has 2 full bathrooms and a single throne room, has a washer and dryer to and hopefully it will still be there when I move in. The washer in this place disappeared along with 2 replacement doors between the time I signed the lease and when I moved in, this place was supposed to be painted before I moved in, the part that was painted looked like it had been done by a 5 year old, paint was on the ceilling and everywhere it didn't belong, the paint that made it on the wall was old and had runs and dried paint flakes in it. In other words, it was done by a Professional Calgary Contractor.
