lead frame

I have a 2011 ford f150 with the 6r80 trans and 5.0 motor. I replaced the trans lead frame because the trans was stuck in 3rd gear. now its still stuck in 3rd gear but in overdrive the speedometer reads 25 mph without moving. My main question is does the tranny lead frame need to be programed into the pcm? also getting several codes that say low voltage to all solenoids.

No it doesn't need to be programmed. Did you get the bulkhead sleeve installed all the way? The white lock should move up easily if its installed all the way. If you had to force the lock the the sleeve isnt all the way in and the connector isn't engaging all the pins.

Now that you say it did not want to go move up that easily. It felt like it was stuck so I guess i'll give it a shot. Thanks.

That's probably your problem. Also did the sleeve have orange or black seals? The orange ones are prone to leak and have been replaced by the black seals.

The 3rd gear is a fail-safe allowing you to drive the truck to a shop. It defaults to 3rd when there is no power going to the solenoids. Either you have a wiring problem or the PCM is bad. Closely inspect the wiring harness that runs to the trans for any damage, especially near the exhaust manifold.

Problem solved. It was the wiring harness from the pcm to the transmission. Thanks.
