Sorry guys, but I'm in the mood to rant. This past weekend, my wife and I went out to the local Ford dealer to check out the new F150's.
Very nice. But they are larger than ever. Man they're BIG! Even the smallest of the 2004's are very large. Right beside them were the Rangers. They've stayed 'ruffly' about the same size over the last several years.
I took a step back and looked at them side by side. The F150 makes the Ranger look like a toy. I'm thinking to myself, "shouldn't there be SOMETHING(size-wise) between these two trucks"? Does anyone besides me think that the huge size gap needs to be filled? It would certainly be a pickup that I'd be interested in. Maybe others would be too.
Thank you for letting me rant. I feel much better now. :-)

I think it would depend on which models you compared a supercrew 4X4 would dwarf a ranger reg cab 2 wheeler. Just a thought. I hope they don't get bigger I like them just the way they are I really prefer the mini trucks. Seems that auto makers can never leave well enough alone.

How much more bed do you get between an F150 and a Ranger? The F150 looks enormous but when I look at the bed, it doesn't seem that much bigger than my Ranger. Definitely has taller sides, but still.
I heard what WXboy heard...that any redesigned Ranger will be a little bit longer and a little bit wider (if/when that comes to pass is anyone's guess, though).
