Grease on clutch/brake shaft in 1991?

Hi all.

Very specific question: when replacing the four bushing on the shaft that supports the brake lever and transfers the clutch action to the push rod, is there a specific kind of lubrication recommended? The bushings have diagonal grooves which I assumed were for grease movement? (Wouldn't be the first time I was ever wrong.) If there is a kind of grease to be used, please let me know. If there is no lube needed, please also let me know. (The bushings have not arrived yet.)

Is there a "best" brand to purchase?

Thanks, Eric
