I found this on an image search, thought it was interesting.
It's a Kenworth rear PTO switch and $74, but cool.

You are correct, this switch will only serve as a means to NOT engage the hubs when going into 4 LOW which will get you 2 LOW.
The OEM switch will allow me to use 2 High, 4 High and 4 Low as designed. The only time this second switch will be used is when I am backing up the camper or a heavy load and want to use 2 Low in reverse. I will put the switch into the proper setting which will break the ground connection to the solenoid. Then turn the OEM switch to 4 LOW, but since the ground is broken, I will have access to 2 LOW.
Couple more options based on what Brandon has said, which I believe is a good point.

I think Bill is on to something. I have been struggling with the ON/OFF because it could be interpreted different ways. Changing the switch to HUBS AUTO and HUBS MANUAL is probably what I will go with.
EDIT: I have ordered a SPST Carling style switch with the following cover.

I keep wondering why you are doing a 2 LO mod when all you have to do is put it in 4 LO and not lock the hubs....or do you have the auto hubs? Sorry, I don't recall from earlier. Too much in my head these days. My truck has manual hubs, so I just put it in 4 LO if I need it. I'm sure this has been answered and I am dumb LOL

I have auto hubs with working ESOF, which is the way I like it. If you have manual hubs, or your vacuum lines are capped off then this is not for you.
This mod only applies to those with working ESOF (auto hubs) that wants to keep it that way and still have access to a high torque and slow moving reverse gear. It is essential for ZF6 owners, but very nice to have for 4R100 owners as well.
I like having 4x4 at the flip of a switch, some don't care if they have to get out and lock the hubs in. This mod costs me about an hour of time and $20 and will allow me to have the best of both worlds.

Mark, I completely agree. I have turned putting my truck into reverse into a bit of a joke because the gear is so high. I will sometimes tell my wife "race helmet and 5 point harness on for the speed test in reverse?"
The low reverse gear is perfect speed. The last time we used it to push our 5th wheel up the driveway she was walking along side the trailer guiding me and I just let the truck idle with my foot over the brake.
At least with this switch it will look somewhat factory instead of just some BS crap switch like I bought at O'Rielys yesterday and will be returning when I take back my lead acid batteries that died after 2.5 years of service.

well kinda OT I want to back up slower too!!!
Yep. Even though my truck is 2wd I am keeping my eyes open for a zf6 with transfer case to swap in for low range with the possibility of 4x4 in the future. Excited for winter to see how the locker does.
Or just add an auxiliary trans with an under / direct / over drive. Spicer/Brownie?etc... I feel I have plenty of room in the driveline to make it work. Just needs to be close enough to go pick it up and the ratios I want.
Also looking for a newer chassis (widetrac) to swap my driveline into. Losing interest in this as I have been daily driving my truck since December 2016 and have had few problems with the area needed to maneuver.

@Sous Are you using these guys? I personally would just have the switch say 2 Low.
