But my truck bed and front clip is still incarcerated at a body shop prison so there was no way I could drive it this year. I still planned on going just to meet you guys and see the Piper museum. And tell body shop horror stories around the campfire.
Just to be a clown, yesterday I rigged up a spare grille I have to set on the front of my Escape. I was planning on showing up at the State Park on Thursday with the grille fastened to the front and make people point and shake their heads in wonder. It is attached in three places so I could drive at low speeds with it. Was hoping to photobomb a couple of the group truck photos too. Not exactly calendar worthy, but something for chuckles and a landmark for you guys to find which campsite I was at.
Anyway, I fully plan to attend next year's event. My F3 will certainly be done by then and I will help Abe drum up interest for a big turnout next year. I have 12 months to think up a new way to make a dramatic appearance at the park after driving 500+ miles.
Tom

That’s clever. Oh well, it gives me another year to finish the F350. Dennis

Tom, that is so funny and so neat. Sorry to ruin your fun, but I'd rather see your Meadow Green 49. And that grille isn't too bad looking for a spare!

I saw a video showing Schaefferstown in Lebanon County with water rushing down the street from the heavy rain while my brother near Brickerville, maybe 7 miles as the crow flies, just got 2 to 3 inches.

My wife was at the Dutch Way market with her sister that day. She said it was pouring when they came out and we’d better get home.

I know this is small potatoes compared to the torrential downpour measured in feet that NC got but our local paper today listed how much rain Lock Haven got this summer compared to the average. July: 8.39", Ave. is 3.52; August:7.55, Ave. is 3.84; Sept is already at 5.38 while the monthly average is 3.57.

The the dam at the Bald Eagle State Park is holding back a lot of water. Here is a write up from our local paper. The water level is the highest it's been since Hurricane Agnes in 1972.
