So the family and I are currently active duty Coast Guard. We will be departing the service and heading for Ohio where I was raised and my family (parents, etc.) are. I am currently stationed in Florida and here we have no emissions testing so my engine has benifited from all the mods in my signature, which includes the deletes. My question is when I move back up there and go to register my truck will I need to have the egr, and catalytic converter intact and functional? Will I need a muffler? I have the egr on the shelf so I could throw it back on, but the truck never had a cat or muffler. We plan to move to the Columbus area. I appreciate any insight as I'm trying to gauge if I need to buy parts or not.
No smog testing, mufflers may get you a ticket if it's really loud. Even with glasspacks on mine I've gotten tickets before but mine has n2o and other goodies. Its not a primary offense though so they can't pull you over for just that but if you catch an ******* hell make something up. I'm in Grove City (Southwest Columbus)
Lol i had finally gotten mine right and was right side up enough to sell it and pay $200 outta pocket for the 12v. Wife got a 2018 explorer but its under warrenty and the 12v is cheap to fix. The 6.0 is a harass truck if you have the Wallet for it or if you can stop tinkering (I couldn't)
I'm 25k into my bull nose and am on engine 6 at this point (racing) they can make some real power and great mileage but I'm glad you found something that works for ya! If you go 335 series again lmk I'll help all day!
I appreciate it buddy. Funny enough weve looked at houses in grove city. My family is in Springfield and columbus so well be in the south west area of comlumbus when we finally move though its looking like next year sometime now.
