Triple Alternator Frankenstein - With Pictures

I saw this truck at a festival in Panama City Panama a few weeks ago.
It appears to be a f250 cab with a gas motor (mod please don't move this post, nobody reads the gasser forum )

The truck has a hydraulically folding bed that unfolds to a WALL of speakers. I have a video of it in operation and it's simply incredible.

The setup consists of a 3 aftermarket alternators IN THE VALLY of the engine. Top two units are 200amps each and the bottom looks like the stock 160 for a total charging power of cool 560amps.
It's pretty clever though this will clearly not work in a diesel due to HPOP.

Other interesting things are this being a dualie AND having onboard hydraulics...which I am assuming is an extra port in power steering pump?

Anyway, someone spent a lot of time cobbling this together and it's definitely the most interesting build I've seen.

Wow, that took some engineering, from the engine to the hydraulic speaker boxes, I've never seen anything like that.

Hope that 5.4 doesn't drop a valve.

At first I thought, wow that is a lot of amplifiers. Then I saw the ones in the passenger compartment, then I saw the ones mounted to the roof. Insane build...

Hard to come up with words for this one.

Pretty amazing. I wonder what that cost to put together?

I think I now know where those two recent quakes in Mexico originated. I spotted a quantity of eight (8) 14,200 watts RMS amplifiers, plus several smaller ones that I can't read the label. For the uninitiated, RMS is not the same as peak watts. Every label I've ever seen for amplifiers or speakers in the US lists peak watts... for the sake of bragging rights. Peak watts are a bang, like a gunshot in a movie. RMS is the sustained punch to the speaker cones - like when a ricer with a 4" exhaust cone rolls next to you and the bass drone is rattling your beverage harder than the 7.3L suspension.

So... doing the math.... Just the big boys alone provide 160,000 peak watts. If they play the Beatles "Day in the Life" with the dial on 10, the crescendo at the end will drag 13,390 amps out of the "batteries". It makes me think the open space under back seat amps is all about power storage.

He spent a gajillion dollars on amps, speakers, and wires... and couldn't buy a label maker?

I spent enough time in Mexico, Guatemala, and Costa Rica. I've seen how things work down there, but it still cracks me up how they sometimes want to be impressive with the big stuff - but ignore the little stuff.
