What are the differences in a f250 vs af350 srw in the 2011-2016 range?

Sometimes a heavier spring pack or extra leaves in the rear. But those are generally options on the F250 anyway.

In some cases, or on some packages, you may get clearance lights standard instead of as an option. The only things I know of for sure are the badging and the rear spacers.

difference besides the emblem, is you can buy an f-250 beefed up to have the same capabilities as a stock f-350, but not vice versa....well...maybe

I have the 2015 F350 SRW. It has an extra helper spring in the rear, and a 4" block spacer on back rather than a 2". This makes it so it doesn't squat in the rear like you see all these other guys with their F250s.

Clearance lights are not standard (mine has none).

I don't know if anyone said that, but what I would say is that if you pay attention to the part numbers, it does not take much for a given year to turn an F250 into an F350 excluding the emblems.

I would also say that while swapping the "right" spring packs and blocks will give the capacity of an F350, you still need to subtract the weight of any options other than the minimum needed to achieve the maximum capacity from the truck you have.

250 and 350

3 different front spring sets.
4 different rear spring sets.

like tow package
slide in camper package
snow plow package
Gas or diesel engine
final gear set.
5 or 6 interior packages.

you need to figure out WHAT you are going to do with the truck and find the package that fits your needs..

2 door, Super Cab, Crew Cab.... 6.5 foot bed,,,, 8 foot bed...

for me.... Gas, Super Cab, "XL" Work Interior, Tow and camper package... so I can carry and tow heavy
and 8 foot bed.. so I can carry my street motorcycle in bed of truck and tow 10,000 pounds.

The F350 comes standard with a rear stabilizer bar you have to order the camper package to get the bar on an F250

I'll probably just wait for a f350 since that has been what I have been looking for. I'm not in a big rush. It will be my logging crummy so it will have a 100 gallon fuel tank, welder, air compressor, torch set, 5 or 6 pails of oil at any given time, a whole bunch of tools and spare parts.

I currently have two crumminess, one 95 f250 and a 94 f350. Both squat in the back with all my ****.

Since you carry a lot of weight, I'd recommend getting a chassis cab. You can get a chassis cab in SRW or DRW configurations. The down side to a chassis cab is that you'll need aftermarket box or bed because of the industrial standard 34" frame rails. Just my two cents.

Were braking systems different between the two models? I feel like there was a difference several years ago, maybe 2011, one being hydro boost assist and the other vacuum assist.

One of the big differences is cost to register in some communist states.

For 2011, the rear sway bar was standard on DRW, optional on SRW, nothing to do with f250 vs f350 for that year. But it may be true for certain other years:

I bought a 350 for the increased payload for my construction business. but because of that I need DOT numbers in my state which is a pita and costs me more for the DOT fees. A 250 wouldn't need DOT numbers because the gvwr is under 10k.
