I built a battery tray using two inner brackets off a '58 F-100. The stock brackets are different, side to side. The bottom of the tray was replaced with a flat piece of steel which was welded to each "L" bracket. I bolted a plastic floor that will hold a Group 24 battery to the tray bottom. All stainless fasteners were used to reduce the chance of corrosion. Powder coating finished the deal.
