Well, calling the parts dept at my local Ford dealer answered my question. But none in stock around me.
When searching for solenoids, all I kept getting was the rear air bag solenoids. The part # was the key to finding the right part.

Anyway, the part is 1L1Z5311AA and it's available online.

This part is cracked, so it leaks. What's interesting about this leak is that it only leaks when the System is actuated. If you turn off the switch, all the air shocks hold air perfectly.

What was happening was my compressor would run almost constantly, and the rear would never get to proper height. So I filled the system manually via a Schrader Valve I installed years ago (because it takes a bigger compressor, such as a shop compressor, to quickly fill the system), then shut off the switch under the glove box to keep shocks filled without burning out the compressor. The compressor would try to fill the rear bags, but the leak caused the compressor to run and run and finally "time out" after a while.

I ordered the part online for $50. I hope it works and solves the problem.

Will advise when it's installed...

Exactly what does the solenoid control?

Do you have four corner air or just rear?

Yes, I have a 4x4, so it's front and rear air suspension. The 2WD models have the rear only air suspension.

This solenoid controls the air the going to the rear bags when the rear Height Sensor calls for it, I guess.

My question was what the part was called (or the part #) so I could search for it online.

It's obviously a solenoid, and it's nearly identical to the solenoids at the top of the rear air bags. All my search inquiries returned results for the air bag solenoids.

Getting the Part # gave me the exact part I needed in my internet search.

It's called "solenoid" or "rear solenoid assembly" according to Ford. Not very definitive for the Internets, I guess.

How many miles are on your Navi? I have had my 02 about two years now and fortunately no issues with the system. The front air shocks look new, so it may have had some work in the past. I'm at 102k. Just waiting for the day something goes out on the air ride. Planning to keep it though its one of the best things about the truck IMO.

101K miles. Bought it new.

I like my air suspension, too. But it breaks often and it's been a big pain. Compressors wear out quickly anytime there's a problem.
I'm not going to convert it.

Ford has the Power Steering tied into the system, which really irritates me. If you have a problem and need to shut off the suspension system, your power steering feels terrible (like a boat), especially at higher speeds.

I almost forgot to mention that my Air Susp system is working good now. Replacing that part solved the problem. It was cracked and leaking. Very easy fix, which was nice, for a change.
