Ford Ranger 4.0 to 3.0?

I have a 2000 ford ranger that has a 4.0 motor in it, now my motor is blown, i wanted to see if i can put a 3.0 motor in it (cant find a 4.0) thanks

You can do it. You'll also need to change the transmission, the wiring, and the computer. I'd expect that there are quite a few other things that will change, too.
