First post: Looking for '51 '52 5 teeth grille - Repro's?

Hey all,

Danny here. Been lurking around for a while now and decided to ask for help. Hopefully I came to the right place

I have been looking everywhere but cant seem to find any reproduction grill - I'm guessing these are not made?

Problem is I live in the Netherlands and locally there is none to be found.
I have found a couple on eBay the last few weeks but most of the sellers do not wish to ship internationally or the grille is in a perfect shape and/ or the price is way to high.

I'm hoping one of you guys have one for sale and is willing to help an enthousiast so I can continue my build.
The grill does not have to be in a perfect shape - surface rust or some small dents I don't care about. The lights I do not need if that makes it easier to ship

Thanks in advance!
Danny

Are you going to paint the grille or are you looking to keep the chrome finish?
If you are going to paint the teeth then you could make a mold of the teeth you have and cast them yourself in either zinc, aluminum, or urethane.

No I'm not going to paint it - no color anyways - That's why I prefer one which has some rust on it.
I wish the preserve the patina and just put some clear coat on it.

So I'm looking for any kind - Chrome or painted I really do not care - as long as the grille has no holes or really bad spots

Cheers,
Danny

There are Left, Right, and Center teats, make sure you get one Left and one Right. Also, some were welded to the crossbar, some were bolted. Easiest if you can get bolted ones.

Thanks Mr. Ed - I know.

Problem is that most of the people who don't mind shipping internationally are using the global shipping program from eBay - Actual Shipping and import duties are then almost doubled. I don't mind paying someone for service but eBay made it ridiculous.

USPS charges $117 for "60x"12x"12 - 30Lbs package which I'm willing to pay

But

Shipping that same package with the eBay Global Shipping Program costs $257 ex import duties -

thanks but no thanks eBay

Yay - a buddy of mine brought me a complete grill this morning. He found one at a local junkyard - which is rare as these trucks almost - never - show up at a junkyard here in the Netherlands. Most of these trucks are restored - no matter what the condition.

So I'm a very very happy!

Now the only thing left for me is to source two extra teeth ( one left and one right )

If anyone happens to have these teeth laying around and is willing to sell them to me I would be very happy to off course pay all the costs involved to get these shipped to my address.

Thanks
