I would stick with Motorcraft.

I have used Autolite in my Explorer in the past, but you can't go wrong with the stock plugs. I used Bosch plugs in an Aerostar I had which turned into a long ordeal and a very costly mistake.

Well kids here it goes 2004 Lariet Screw. MILEAGE 16,550 Original miles. I just turned 75 so this truck will pass to my Granddaughter. I can't drive it much cuz I have to take
to many pain meds. hell of a truck. Biggest change in the truck was switching to Castrol Edge. Gave more low end torque and mileage went up 10%. If I drive it 65MPH
shes good for 21MPG

I haven't seen that problem on Explorer/Mountaineer/Aviator's and this is an "Explorer/Mountaineer/Aviator" thread; not a thread for F-150's.

187,000 miles from '91 Xplor/Navajo before it rusted out (gas tank and all). Engine and trans. were in excellent condition. Sold it to a local fellow that fixes up these things. It's now back on the road with orig. eng/trans and drive train.

Started pulling my bass boat with it at 140K miles and never skipped a beat all over ME and NH mountains.

Replaced it with a used '02 Explorer with 41k, 6 years ago. Now have 140K hard miles on it and still runs like the day I go it.

Have an 05 Explorer with 89000 Miles on it, drives like a champ only had it for about a month now but never want to go back and thinking about trading in my crappy Grand Am for another Ford (Maybe another explorer or F-150) something to get me through the MN winters.

i have a 2001 with 127500 on it. Runs great. I have only replace oil, gem module, fuel pump, trans fuild. An thats it she needs right a arm bushing and an alingment but thats it and its been a great suv for me. I have the 4.0 sohc. A solid 15 mpg city and 19 or 20 on highway. Oh I did put new shock on rear but i have pulled my tent trailer alot that weights about 2800 to 3000 load down. Not including camping equipment and 5 people in the thing.
