It depends on a few things. The Mustang is tried and true, is available in many different configurations and has the options of running 15" wheels. In my opinion, the Mustang is a little weak for a truck, but in all honesty, the trucks that you swap a Mustang into isn't going to be a workhorse. The CV is newer, cheaper, stronger and a great alternative to the Mustang, not to mention the availability. It too has its drawbacks: its a little too wide for some peoples taste, you have to run atleast a 16" wheel, and the install requires a little more fabrication than some people are able or equipped to do. As this swap has been given more attention over the last couple of years, the aftermarket support has skyrocketed. You can get almost anything you want for this front end from brakes to coilovers and airbags. It also makes a great platform for a modular motor as the mounts are built in, or you can grab some aftermarket mounts for a small block Ford, big block Ford or even an LS.
