Am I correct in that the factory bed lights are 5 volt? So you couldn't just install the lights and hook them to an upfitter?

I don’t have the upfitter switches. My main harness that the upfitter harness would plug in to does not have the connection point under the hood by the driver finder to retro fit them.
I picked up all the parts listed, everything fit well and I think all that needs to be done is make the changes with ForScan so they are live.

I had heard that too but haven't checked to see yet. I put in a SwingCase so one of my lights is covered now. I have an American Roll Cover so was thinking of adding a strip to the canister, Was hoping I could tie it into the box lighting but sounds like that might not work unless I found a 5v LED strip.

I finally got around to pulling one of my box lights out and putting a meter on the connector. It measure 12vdc so I think I will get another led light and mount in on my American Roll Cover canister to add some light to my bed.

this is good to know. I’ve wanted to add lights in the front of the box, because my American Work cover blocks any lights from the cab 3rd brake light.

Also thinking of trying these out to see if they are truly brighter. Pricy but oh well.

Who did forscan for you? I'm not a computer guy, will most dealers do this to activate lights? I have a 2018 xlt, no blis or leds so I'm thinking I would need exactly what you used. Thanks for posting this info!

i am a newby and registered to the forum just to reply to you and ask for help. I added OEM leds/bed to my 2017 F250 Lariat no LEDs and back up camera with the help of great dealer who wanted to retrofit more on his lot. I was able to find 2 codes that needed to be changed and he order the lights, switch, and wiring harness needed.
Bed Lamps: FL3Z-13A756-A - Need 2 of them
Switch: FL3Z-9C888-B
Main Harness: HC3Z-13A409-RB
Driver Side Harness: HC3Z-13K371-A
Passenger Side Harness: HC3Z-13K371-B

The F150 FORScan spreadsheet has BdyCM:

726-57-01 xxxx xxx* xxxx Bed Lamp Cfg: 0=disabled, 1=enabled

There is also the Bed Lamp Output setting in the non-As-Built BdyCM configuration.

This worked on my truck and the dealer did it at cost for me around $200 for parts.

i have been waiting for you to continue the CHMSL back up camera tread. I like you want to add it to my truck. Were you able to get your camera to work?

The stock lights are crap, especially if you have anything in the bed like the swing cases...makes them completely useless. I bought these lights for $10 on amazon for all 4, wired them up to a switch in the bed. The output is amazing and they draw almost no power.

Do you have a link? I wanted to do the factory LED but I didn't want to deal with replacing the main harness. I might do something similar. Are these lights/switches waterproof?

Thank you for the parts list. No I haven't been able to get it tow work quite yet. I still have to get the trim panel for the radio and a switches, I think Im also going to need another module. The project is kind of on hold for a bit as we use the truck more in the nice weather than the winter, but Ill be back on it and I will get it working!

$5 Shipped for 2, $10 for 4:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XHXCFDN/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XHXCFDN/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I used this lighted switch to turn them on/off. Just mounted it in the plastic holder where the stock switch goes.

Lights are definitely waterproof, not sure about the switch...I've hosed it down a couple times and havent had any issues.

My OEM lights are decent

Some leds blind me. Mine are decent and I wanted OEM functionality of the cargo light button inside and in the bed with auto shut off if I forget.

Yea, sorry, I didn't mean to talk **** about the upgrade like that. I've had some frustrations with the OEM lights myself on my pops F150...

Hey guys,
I just added the factory bed lighting to my 2017 f250 Xlt Premium with no Blis, no LED, but I have factory tailgate camera and I added the factory trailer hookup light. I don't have forscan tools yet. I have to get them and try to figure it out or find someone close that will enable it for me ( I would be happy to compensate). I am in Western MD.
Not a bad project, about an hour. Dropped the spare, popped out taillights to unhook, dropped wires down, fought getting the harness clips out. Once it was unclipped, slid it right out. New harness went right in and connected right in place. Need to forscan for it to work properly. 2 Bed Lamps--FL3Z-13A756-A ($64.08) 1 Switch--FL3Z-9C888-B ($15.95) Main Harness (taillight to taillight) HC3Z-13A409-RB-($64.08) Drivers Side Harness--HC3Z-13K371-A ($6.97) Passenger Side Harness--HC3Z-13K371-B($11.61) Nice plug and play project. I can get more pics if someone wants more specific views. I got rolling along and forgot about pics at times.

New Harness on the outside of original. I extra pigtail on left, 2 extra on bottom right

The black connector is plugged in to what was capped off on original Harness. Both connections are on passenger side rear by spare
