Front end fell in water, need advice

Long story short the front end of my 2013 F250 6.7 4x4 was driven into a small pond of muddy water. Truck lasted total of around 10 seconds in, had to step on the pedal a bit when it was in reverse to get out. Checked the oil and transmission oil and both didn't seem to get any water. Truck seemed fine for a bit until it idled for about 15 minutes and them shut off when put into drive. When i drove the truck on the empty street it would not pick up higher than 60 mph and the transmission shifts were out of tune. When truck was parked it would shake a little bit and now if i turn it on and run it it seems to overheat and turn off. Any ideas what it could be, gonna lift it up and change all oils tomorrow including the differential oil. Any insight would be appreciated

over heating is probally mud in the radiator fins

all your electrical contacts are probally wet...with some now having fine grit in the contacts from the muddy water

depending on how deep tht water was....your alternator could have been submerged

if 4wd, front axle might have taken somewater

also depending on how deep, transfer case and tranny could be effected

if you have comprehensive insurance, maybe your insurance company will cover a dealer deep dive and repairs

I don't know what you did but I've sunk the front of trucks entering a new mud hole so it won't over the hood and halfway up it! Slammed the truck in reverse and powered out....never had an issue. So what happened really? LOL

Call insurance company, no need to even talk about this even further.

Flush all the electrical connectors out or there will be gremlins for years.

Unplug the connectors and make sure they are dry.

It's hard to estimate what could be damaged without really knowing what got wet. For example, there is a vent hose for the front axle and as long as that vent did not take in water the front axle is fine.

Check the COP to see if water got down into the spark plug hole

Did your air filter take in water past the filter?

I removed the air filter the day of the incident and you could see puddles in the squares at the bottom of the air filter box so my guess would be yes
