No, more like a knock off of a candy bar.

looks like fun, Modoc! I need to find a scout troop for my 13 year old stepson. I loved scouting growing up.

Seems like I miss all the fun.

I drove through that area on the 20th (stopped at Verdi to visit Cabela's), went through Reno and Fernley, then took 95 south to Pahrump. Weather was wet, windy and miserable until about Walker Lake (after which it was just windy). I scared the rabbit pellets out of a Jackrabbit that was sitting on the road, and swerved to avoid a coyote, but otherwise the drive was just Nevadaboring.

Drove about 1,100 miles in 36 hours or so.

Been on that stretch of road a few times. Used to have to visit the navy ammunition depot down near Hawthorne/Walker Lake on a semi-monthly basis. I would typically fly into Reno, then jam down there in a rental. A whole lotta nuthin' out that way. It's a close second place to Tonopah (WRT to "nuthin").

Always kind wondered what the navy was doing out there. Kind of a long, hard boat ride from SF Bay...

Anyone know who works on 6.0 turbos locally? My 6.0 mechanic has never had one completely apart and he is busy with 6.4s. I want to put a 10 blade turbine wheel.

Roger that Jim. It certainly "feels" like October this morning. Going to a birthday party this afternoon. A friend is turning 85. Should be fun.
