95 f150 bump steer after 2.5" lift

I installed a Rough country 2.5" lift on my 95 f150. got and alignment, I get bad bump steer when driving, swerves around a bit as the suspension cycles. its not fun to drive. I got it aligned, put all new tie rod ends on, wheel bearings are good. ball joints seam fine. I then did a tie rod flip, still there. I don't have a steering stabilizer, and may add one, but feel it would hide the real problem not actually solve it. Any ideas on what I can do to make this truck drive properly?

Check your steering shaft for play. I had an F150 with 6" of lift with steering problems and after chasing my tail on replacing suspension components, wheel bearings, etc. I found my intermediate shaft on the steering to be missing a sleeve bushing and it was causing my truck to wander. Just something to think about. Also, check your rag joint, steering box, etc.

windyhill,

Did you ever fix this issue. I also i stalled the RC 2.5, replaced all suspension parts, and added a steering damper. Still wonders on the road. The last thing I can replace is my steering gear. Any info will help. Thanks!

Sounds like you may need some camber adjusters and definately a steering damper setup....I got Moog camber adjusters Rancho dual damper on my OBS Ford w original lift..After putting heavy duty springs to raise the frontend up the front wheels were angled like you see in the picture..It steered pretty good but wasnt perfect til I put camber adjusters and adjusted the wheels alot more straighter by a 1.5 degrees.

Good Luck getting yours sorted out.
