Anyone switch 350 blocks to 250 blocks?
When I bought my truck I didn't really need an F-350 but the one I found was so nice I bought it. It has served me very well with zero regrets. Now however there is a change on the horizon. Will be towing a recreational trailer. We rented one in July and fully loaded for camping the F350 was still high in the rear and had to drop the hitch a fair amount. Yesterday I saw an F350 just like mine except it sat level. It was not lifted in the front, it looked like it had been lowered in the back to look like a 250, and it looked good. I am thinking about doing this to make the 350 more suitable for it's new job. I do not want to raise the front end as that will raise my center of gravity and defeat my purpose of safe highway towing, so I am thinking about getting the F250 blocks and swapping them out.
Anyone try this?

5th wheels do pull better but we are set on an Airstream and it will fit in my garage. A fifth wheel I would have to store off site. I will get a Hensley design hitch and drive 65.

55 mph max in this stupid state. I love the look of airstreams, but last time out i got to talking to a couple of owners, and they agreed that every few years, they need a complete resealing or they will leak. Also they said the smaller trailers were worth more than the larger ones. I guess because they are easier to tow and park.

on truck in signature removed spacer blocks from rear axle so slide in camper A.C. would clear over head door/eves. p/n 1Z-5598-EA was 2-1/4 tall, the original F-350 spacers were 3-11/16 which lowered 1-7/16, just enough for A.C. to clear with air bags inflated to max.,if i remember right dealer showed more than one option in F-250 spacers.

If you have a good spring shop, follow their advice on correct setup. They are like dentists; they know what they are doing, and we don't.
Also consider your stowage of Other Crap. With a bumper pull you have a bed to fill with these golden nuggets (and a bed cover) and the additional weight might make you level. Consider or assemble the whole shebang before addressing the suspension.
I'm a 5er guy, but Airstreams are top notch. Only been in a couple but everything was stout and exactly where you wanted it to be. You're paying for the engineering.

Is that throughout the entire state?
About a year and a half ago i moved my buddy from Colorado to California. I was towing a dual axle like 14' uhaul trailer behind me.
I forget what highway i was on, but the limit was "55 mph for anybody towing" and then i got into the CENTER of town in Temecula and the speed limit was like 60 or 65 again.
I was like uhhhhh wait what?
