it is made by phillips p/n 15-730 for the male side. It IS for tractor trailers & HD trucks that pull large trailers. If u click the link on that page to go to the catalog. you can see they also sell cord with 2 male ends as well for hooking the tractor to the trailer. Whatever fits your application better. The female side like is on your truck is also on that page. I went out to the truck to get the p/n of off a new one. I will try to include pics for reference. The catalog page also lists cross reference for other manufacturers such as pollak.

What you're wanting to do is possible, depending on the power needs. The trailer power Aux circuit is typically protected by a 30-40 amp breaker or fuse.
There's not an 'off the shelf' item that'll do exactly what you want, as that 7-round pin connector isn't used much anymore.
I can provide a parts list for a plug, wire to connect the plug and trailer and a junction box to install on the trailer for a tidy wiring job.
If you use the link below, you can see the recommended parts and I can walk you through the process, what you do after the junction box will be up to you.

I was not trying to be ugly. I hope you did not think so. I just did not want him to go on a wild goose chase. Unfortunately, i see that connector a lot but could not remember p/n. With all of the small towns we go to, i can almost always count on a Napa to have or get what i need so that was why included link to them. Their batteries also seems to hold up very well to our demands, although they are a little more pricey compared to others. However, all napas warranty napa batteries so its a good thing in the event one does go bad under warranty.
I am not sure why the e trailer guy said its not used much anymore. Our oldest HD trailer to my newest one has that connector.

The 7-round pin connector is primarily used for agricultural or commercial applications. The 7-way RV blade-type trailer connector that's been the standard OEM trailer connector for years now is, and has been much more common over the last 15 or so years.
Sorry for any confusion.
