3 Speed On the Tree Rebuilder Source

Please be advised that I found a company in Nashville, TN that rebuilds 3 On the Tree steering columns. T&M Steering Column Repair, 298 Glenrose Avenue, Nashville, TN 37210. Ask for Mike Stewart at 615-977-6531. The basic cost of the rebuild is $300 (I sent a new shift collar E0TZ7228-D along w/my column). They've just finished it which included all of the necessary parts and he also repainted it.

Keep on Trucking!

I'm just in the process of rebuilding the 3-on-the-tree column from my 1984. I just painted the outer tube last night. I've found everything I needed online except the obsolete shift collar...mine is cracked, but not broken all the way through yet. I'm going to trim a 78/79 collar to fit. The shift tube in mine looks like brand new, and I did find all of the bearings and plastic bushings and sleeves...not all at the same place mind you...lol, but I did find them.

Did you sell all of the collars you bought a while back? I saw an old post of yours where you bought qty 5 and were selling the rest?

Yes, I have a few E0TZ7228-D shift collars on hand. Will this fit your 1984. I know it should fit 1980-83 for sure.

Yes sir, same part as far as I know. If you're interested in selling one you could send me a PM. I know the 78/79 collar will work, but I'd rather have the correct part if the price is right.

Thanks NumberDummy,

I didn't hear back from F100mann if he was interested in selling one of his collars, so for the time being I'll plan to use the 78/79 collar. I've got bits and pieces coming from various locations, so hopefully I'll have everything next week.
