Anyone know what size the steering wheel bolt is? Figured I’d make sure I have the size before I start taking everything apart

The gray XLT interior doesn't look that great, in my opinion. I think the Adobe (tan) looks way more upscale. Just more contrast. But alas, I have a gray one.

I do have a box a Katzkin leather seats to install tomorrow, however. I might do the steering wheel, but I like the fat baseball bat grip on the XLT wheel. Anybody with a diesel also knows every time you fill your truck, some fuel manages to get transferred on to your hands which promptly get on the leather steering wheel...speeding its demise. So the plastic makes sense in that respect. But it is ugly. And the Ford airbag cover, no matter what trim, is horrible cheap thin plastic. It should be padded vinyl.

Definitely will do the tailgate spot light and need an auto-dimming rearview mirror. The silver trim might look a little nicer, but I'd also like to add the chrome trim around the speakers...which will inevitably require new door panels...which only come in black. Hmm.

Why do you have to wait 10 minutes?

Thanks for the info. Been wanting these. Just placed order. Will report back next week. I will use some 3m Adhesive Promoter. Reviewers state possible adhesion concerns.

So my XLT wheel had less connections than the videos all show. I’m assuming heat is 1... but why only 1 air bag connection? What’s the second connection for?

I decided to keep the black trim as I don’t like silver. Also didn’t have a 15/16 but a 24mm worked

Mine was the same way. I believe the videos are mostly F150 trucks with 2 connectors. Enjoy the wheel, I love mine.

Probably from unhooking the battery. Tires should re-learn after a quick drive.

Thanks Hackenbush, reps sent! Ordered a set. I saw the adhesion concerns but this will definitely help improve the door appearance.

This is probably true. I pretty much just followed the instructions from a YouTube video. I was also a little uneasy after speaking with a buddy that does lots of truck mods tell me to be careful with the airbag.
