I think the steering wheel upgrade is the best upgrade for the XL/XLT. Easy and you "feel" it every time you drive. Glad this was helpful.

Before I ordered my F350 I went back and forth for weeks trying to decide if I wanted the Lariat or the XTL. When it came down to deciding, I realized the only thing that I really liked about the Lariat was how much nicer the dash was. The XLT looked too much like a XL inside after being in a Lariat.

So thanks to this thread, I decided to order the steering wheel and a few of the other silver trim bits from the dash of a Lariat. In about a week, I should be looking at a much more attractive dash.

I also debated and decided I could add what I liked to an XLT. I've got a Lariat steering wheel on order. Am interested to see what other trim pieces you are adding.

Also ordered the bright metal/plastic? trim above the glove box the says "Superduty" plus the two little silver pieces that are on either side of the instruments. Have decided to wait and see if I want the four vent surrounds until these parts are installed.

Cool looking forward to seeing the changes (and possibly getting the parts #'s).

looks like they raised the price $10 though since I purchased it.

Tasca still has it for $150. If you login, add it to your cart, then leave it for about 30 minutes you'll get an offer for 5% off as well. Not much, but covers some of shipping.

Ordered my steering wheel from Tasca last Tuesday (9-5) and as of this evening it still has not shipped. According to Tasca customer service it was in stock when I ordered so a week now without it being shipped is pretty weak, I would recommend ordering from somewhere else.

I'd be interested in that. TASCA is now $172.57

I'd be interested but I'm with tricon and would opt for the raptor wheel, there's gotta be a way to get the paddle shifters to work. I hate the location of the manual shift buttons

While you were replacing your handle, did you by chance take note of the the handle/gate internals? do you think a manual handle would be a fairly easy swap? I would really like to get rid of the electric handle.

thanks for your time

Did the leather steering wheel mod today. Plug/play and couldn't be easier.

The leather steering wheel is nice but I will say the XLT urethane wheel is a tad bit thicker and feels a little different in the hand. I have very large hands and the thicker XLT wheel will probably go back on after I wear out the leather one.
