my 2010 ford flex check engine light started flashing and I lost power while trying to go around a car on highway. got a misfire code and afterwards changed all coils and wires. still got misfire code. now Ford is telling me that I have a dead cylinder and I need a new engine. I have 70000 miles on it (out of warranty). What can I do?

 

Sorry to read your issues. You can call Ford customer service and try to file a claim and see if Ford will assist you through some sort of a customer satisfaction program.

Otherwise, I'd be more inclined to trade it in on something new.
