well, I did it.

installed the A.E.M. methonal/water injection system.

power boost, reduce emmissions, run cooler, clean carbon, with 1 toy

took me about 6 hours

the injector is before manifold and after intercooler. I have a nut on the threads with lock tight. using the small injector for now. comes with small, med, and large.

the boost sense is after turbo and before intercooler. simple hole with gromet, hose tightly in.

the controls is on the floor off to the side. once Im confident its setup correctly, Ill tie wrap the controls under the dash. its a setup and forget system.

the tank and pump is behind the rear seat.

so, yes, the thing does what it claims.

I am interested in the cleaning of the carbon. I make longer trips as much as I can. But also do a fair amount of city driving.

 

You mentioned improved mpg in another thread. What kind of increase are you seeing both towing and empty?

 

it will be a while before I can do a good long trip to compare mpg with and with out the system.

it comes with a gallon tank...but to really make it convenient you have to get a 5 or 10 gallon tank. there is a bed inside tank avail that can hold 10 gallons and it runs 200 bucks. so figure 500 for the base system and 200 for the 10 gallon taank and you in for 700 bucks. aside from the cost of the washer fluid, deice fluid, or bug cleaner deice fluid, depending on what you are after. when its all said and done..that money can buy a lot of diesel, and it make take a while to get a return on investment if all your after is saving fuel.
