Sounds like you found the problem. I had plenum leaks that contributed to my high EGT issues. I have similar mods with the 160/30 Rosewood injectors, but really no issues with EGTs now with the 4+4 compressor wheel on the stock turbo.

I can make higher EGTs than the stock sticks of course using my right foot, but I can tow the same 5th wheel at the same speed as before with less EGTs.

I forgot to come back and report.
So got back home 2 days ago pulling the goose neck camping trailer and well lets say the truck did a hell of alot better, I could actually run on my heavy tow setting and egts were still a bit high (1200) but not as high as before (1250-1400) and could maintain speed limit or more which was 75-80 mph, EGT after turning the rod a few turns maybe 5? turns the truck felt better towing about the same empty, with alot less EGT.
Today I set it up the wastegate to 35 psi again making sure I tighten the nut, we'll see how it does when I go back pulling the gooseneck this round Im making a boost tester in the AM and check for leaks as well.

Rented the new pressure tester $200 but well worth it and plan on buying it.
I pressurized the cooling system on my truck to my surprise i could only get up to 10lbs of pressure before it started venting thru the top return line of the radiator to the coolant bottle, tighten the worm clamp and got pressure up to 15 psi when i saw coolant dripping from beneath the truck, i was like "Are you freakin kidding me!!!" Good news was just a loose worm clamp on the top radiator hose wasnt tight enough ?? Huh.... Ok so i got that tigheten up and set pressure to 16psi and held it there for more than 15 minutes all is well. Now i went on testing the coolant cap and guess what the POS didnt even held pressure so i tried a spare OEM one I had laying around held 16 psi, no problem so i installed that cap.
So conclusion pressurize your system youll never know what you find. Im pretty sure thats why my truck was running hotter than normal towing oil and coolant wise.
Heres the tester

Glad you found your problem. That looks like a great tester. Why wouldn't the autozone one work? My new rad cap I put on seems to be working better then the old one but I still need to pressurize my system to help me figure out why the sodium is in my oil.

Yes, that's what I meant, coolant cap. Mine was a whole $12 at a Ford Dealer!

I got the one from Oreilley's over the weekend. I had to get the tester and the threaded adapter kit for it to work but once I had both, they worked like a charm.

I mantained 15 psi for 15 minutes... Good to go!
