Exporting my truck to Bathurst

Hello guys, im looking at exporting my beloved truck from texas to bathurst. Im trying to do as much research as I can before I start living over there. My girlfriend showed me a parts store over there called supercheap auto.

I couldnt find any parts for my truck!! I have a 96 f150. It has an inline 6 with a standard shift. Thing is, I drove so many inlines while I was in Brisbane. But on this parts site, only the 302 and 351 cubic inch motors were listed, both v8's. Did they even release my inline 300 truck motor to australia? Can I even find parts?

I cant conceive why it wouldnt be released over there, the price of petrol and all. Every jap ute I drove over there had an inline in it. I can find tons of parts for the car inline 6 300 but none for my truck inline 300? What gives? Im really worried because I dont want a v8 and I dont want to leave my truck behind! Any info would be appreciated.

(in liters mine is a 4.9L inline)

Hi Hilderwulf,
The inline 300 was only used in Australia until 1977, and then only in one model, the F-250 4x4. So some parts will be available, but not many.
No EFI 300s made it here.
I don't think the cars ever got the 300 here, only the 240/250 inline 6.

There are a number of options such as shipito to get parts sent over from the states, I'd think you'd be best to just buy parts from there and get them shipped over. Parts really shouldn't be too much of an issue, just try to order stuff before you absolutely need it.

A 96 is new enough that it is going to need to be converted to RHD and altered to meet Australian Design Rules (our version of DOT certification) to be registered over here, check out some conversion shops before you commit, you will be up for a lot more than just shipping costs.

I'd stay in Texas. This busted *** country is going to the dogs with our busted *** political system run by busted *** uni graduate limped dicked politicians more concerned about same sex marriage rather than the ever increasing cost of living. Anyways I digress. Just had to get that out
