Timmy, is that new construction sitting on a concrete slab? If so that should keep the termites at bay (the subterranean kind anyway) but I would hit the bottom plate/studs with some copper green. That stuff is instant death to bugs of all kinds, which means that the EPA has probably banned it.

Hydro..ya, its secured to slab with redheads..alot! Haha....gotta hit depot soon to take back remainder lumber. That pic was 85% complete. Have fireblocks and bottom of drywall secured now. Ill take a gander for that stuff...ill probably living there sooner than later so until then, wanted to seperate laundry from garage. This way, if i need to store things out there while its occupied, i have room in garage without worry of tennants getn into it/bothering them while unloading...definitely living there next summer..

Will tape n mud come spring. Still need drywall on roof n walls

Yes, serious. Just thought I'd bring it up. Fought with them for years at my place out there. They just seem to show up. Had the exterminators out there many times as well. It was the only way to keep them away. Don't know why new construction would change it. Always suppose to have treated wood on the ground, slab or not.

Truck scared me leaving work today, didn't fire up the first second or so. More like second 9. Happened to glance at the usb charge port/volt meter, low volts while cranking. Got home, popped the hood, had tight clean cables, but the batteries needed a drink, gave em 2 bottles of distilled water, n the smart charger. Here's hoping that's all it needs. Only have 4 years on this set.

I'm milking my batteries right now, too. I thought I would have to replace them last winter, but squeaked through OK with them. One of mine is now almost 5 years old, and the other is about 2 years old (had to replace one under warranty, and that's why I'm milking them as long as I can before biting the bullet to replace BOTH). I think I'm going to skip the high dollar batts this time and just go back with Interstates from Costco at less than half the price.

Installed 2 NorthStar AGM batteries last October and hoping they last for many years to come. I did the math and if I can get 6 years out of them, then my dollars spent equal out vs. the cheaper lead acid batteries. Also, this saves me a "break down" and an extra trip to see the "experts" at the parts store.

They are still doing a great job getting that Denso turning.

The only batteries I ever got 6 years out of in this truck was the Interstate batteries. And I bought them in Wyoming in the winter. I even ran them down to nothing three times when My alternator went out at night and was only able to charge them off another truck.
