Well Rich, at least the house is a rental and the A/C repair is not on your dime. Really glad to hear it didn't get any worse than it did, could have been very bad.

You oughta write for the newsies; while the actual content of your tale was alarming and potentially dangerous, I couldn't help but chuckle all the way through it. If the whole country were laughing at these a**holes who decide shoot up schools and malls and whatnot, maybe the other crazies wouldn't be so quick to imitate them...

Last year was our first season with our used boat with 170 hours on the clock. We spent a lot of time figuring out where all the weaknesses were, and I went on a spending spree this winter to resolve everything. The work and expense has paid off... "Me & 'er" has performed flawlessly this year with far more capability than last year. I still need to replace all the Sunbrella and isinglass, but everything below that is ship-shape.

The previous owners put 170 hours on it in ten years... we put 170 hours on it last summer. That doesn't count the time drifting in the Columbia or our time on the hook.

170!..nice. Seems as though, the relay was the culprit.. It never gets old, does it(boating).. When i hit the river(out there tinkering on the house), by noon, its 110*+ and its time to throw the towel. Ill launch, park truck then pick which way to head by listening to my belly. The food courts and ice cream stands are south into needles👍. My "new to me" hobby now is flyfishing. Got my 10 day card punched mid july. Gears ready, friends think everything will run/work on THANK YOU's and now just need to add the spacers to truck springs and get ur leveled out and aligned...Happy boating and Tight Lines..👍

Sitting here drinking some beer after a long day in the heat working in the yard and had a thought about this song...

We had tickets to see George Jones, but he passed away 2 weeks before the show date. I will never forget the day when my wife came out to tell me George Jones just died as I was working in the driveway shortly after moving into our home. Damn shame I could not see him before he left us, but everyone has their time and there is no getting around that.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Gotta love working nights. Especially on big shutdowns. Got the privilege of washing out the LowD tanks this week. Basically half million gallon silos for holding recycled paper pulp before i make it into paper.

There's an '07 dodge 1/2 ton for sale in our Neighborhood app that boasts of having a gooseneck ball installed. Cant figure out why they haven't had even a nibble in a month but it's got Hemi!

About 100 degrees here for the next three days, not my cup of tea. I went out to water the wife's garden and spread some straw around in hopes that it will keep some of the heat off of the roots and found that the damn spotted lantern fly nymphs are sucking on the cucumber plants. Most of you don't know what they are (yet) but they are a bad invasive species brought here from Asia a few years ago and they're spreading fast.

I've seen those in my neighbor's backyard and have wondered what they were. His yard is an overgrown mess and it's creeping into mine. I remember the good ole days when we could burn our yard waste in our backyards around here. Now we have to collect it and either pay to dump it somewhere, wait until the fall to clean up and the township to get it, or divvy it up into trash cans for regular garbage collection.

You're in DELCO, aren't you? I hadn't heard that they had made it that far yet. If you see them do whatever you can to kill them, they multiply like you wouldn't believe and a lot of pesticides won't touch them.

Currently 86 here feels like is 97. Just went inside to cool off for a bit. Oil changed, added a quart of transmission fluid, checked rear end oil.

in the middle of rotating tires 4 rear wheels are off and aired up to 80, just need to pop the wheels on the other side then I can swap the fronts side to side.

Need to get the grease gun and hit everything then I think the truck is ready.

Need to pull camper onto the street so I can rotate those tires too.
