Yeah, I can't speak about Hawaii at home, I was stationed at Pearl for four years and she's jealous as all heck. We're gonna go sometime, but as a teacher she has limited time during the cooler months in the school year. I love the place,

Smoking a pork butt and a some chicken for dinner if anyone is close by... Entry fee is a six pack of your preferred beer.

Got up around 3 AM to start the smoker, should be frickin fantastic food.

EDIT: Forgot to mention the sides, which are as follows...

BBQ'd corn on the cob, coleslaw and sauteed squash, onions, mushrooms and a few other things thrown in.

Boy that sounds good Sous. Wish we were closer. A far trip for me and the wife. Take some pictures later and tease us!

That does sound good, you really outta come north, it's only 90 here for the last three days. And I am one who appreciates a good 'shroom, many people don't.

Nice! I own a place there on Oahu not to far from Pearl. Definitely come out some time. Even if it has to be in the summer.

Sous that sounds and looks unreal. Wish I could. Would be a long flight. Leftovers might even be gone by the time I got there.

Mom came over for dinner, so it was not just two of us

We like to make pre-made lunches and freeze the pork/chicken or whatever so that it is easily made when the need arises.

Stand up deep freeze in the basement gets filled up when we break out the smoker.

Ice cream and banana pudding for desert soon!

Yesterday while refusing to drive the 80 limit instead of a comfortable 65 on i70 in Utah and being passed by yet another semi, we were greeted by a dreaded noise. BIG boom, front DS of truck dropped 5" instantly and the truck wanted to sideswipe the semi. Not if i could help it By God's grace there just happened to be an exit ramp 150' ahead to some no name 2 lane highway. Rolled to a stop at a wide shoulder area near the end of the exit and got to work. Grabbed the 78# 6 ton floor jack from the tool box, lowered the 2 month old spare and we were good to go in 15 minutes. While i changed the tire the fam jumped in the 5er and used the bathroom, n off we went to set up camp outside Zion

Here's some pix in Arches park for those of you stuck at home or work

Never saw the coyote chasing the road runner.

Happy campers

Tire go boom. It just turned 2yrs old

Wow, glad to hear you kept her between the lines and all's okay. Any idea of why it happened? I have never seen a tire blow in my life.
