What's crazy is that before the Excursion, guys like that were building these for twenty plus years - using Bronco parts, and now that the Excursion is gone they're back in business. It just doesn't make sense why Ford doesn't make them. GM still sells these things, so there is a market ...

Mornin' all....starting this Tuesday like
The good news is that my wife has decided the Kia Soul needs to be traded for a 7.3 Excursion due to our growing family. So yes, in true Ford addict fashion, I have already started looking and I am finding some pretty decent ones in and below my price range. Let the fun begin! I cant wait! Might take a month or two to get it all taken care of with evrything else going on, but this is good.
Have a great Tuesday!

Hi guys, been busy with kid stuff. The redhead may have busted her car up enough that I can add some more funds to my "rejoin the F250 7.3 crowd" budget. She ran it low on oil and now it sounds like a card stuck in the bike spokes below 2000 rpms. Blessings in disguise, right?
I've also been doing the winter checklist. Drain the pool, cover the water spigots with those foam thingys, turn the gas back on to the furnace, cover the fish pond, drain the water out of the filters and pumps, all that good stuff.
I've been banging my head against a wall trying to install a water softener too, but I'm no plumber and finding the main water tap in my slab house has proven difficult. The only place I can think of looking that I haven't is behind my water heater where it's plumbed in. If so, it goes under my driveway and under the garage. I'm probably going to pull my water heater out next week and tear into the wall there to see what's what.
the joys of home ownership
