True story: I’ve got a friend who had a Kia Soul. Good enough car, but his dad told him “nothing says fun eligible bachelor like a Kia Soul”. The car was for sale within a month. He replaced it with a Porsche Cayman. He literally sold his Soul for that Porsche.

I have a love/hate relationship with your food pictures...
We had an egret outside our bedroom window this morning saying hello. We have gray heron at the pond a lot, but this is the first egret I can remember seeing.
Happy Sunday everyone!
They have incredible eyesight, so slow movements behind the blinds was the only way to get a glimpse.

The Nordic food traditions, love it! I have a Norwegian ancestor of the Rye family way back there. Absolutely fabulous pic, looks tasty. Although my wife passive-aggressively suggested your wife made it. #blamethewife
As I understand it back in the day the practice was to bury the fish in the sand just at the high tide limit, then recover in 2-3 days. Just the right level of putrefaction that made it scrumptious.
Then there's garam. Never tried it yet but I expect to hurl.
Aside from the delicacies above I'm really not a fish fan, for the most part. I am allergic to iodine so anything that turns red when cooked is out of bounds. So crab, shrimp, lobster, crawdads, etc. I'm a cheap date.

It's getting hot here and going to be 90+ for the next few days with high humidity. Genuine dog days of summer. Just in time for our mid-state shooting event where guys from all across PA congregate to shoot everything you could imagine...and eat a lot of bacon.
