Unless you give the PoPo reason to search your vehicle, you'll probably be OK. Still, though, you might want to check out the knife laws in the states where you travel, just to know for sure.

^^^^ true. Yet only really applies to local elections. My state and local reps are sensible. The ones consistanly F'ing the country up are from other states. Usually with dense populations. Reminds me of a line from the movie Men in Black. "A person is smart. People are dumb, paniky, dangerous animals"
That's one reason i avoid people
On a 7.3 note, guess what I'll be doing my next day off
Heavy sucker
That'll shut er up

My Neighbor called me this morning and told me she was in the ditch and needed help out.
This is not what I was expecting when I got to her. Dodge 1500 Ecodiesel.
Turned around, went home and got my tractor and some chain. After the local LEO gave the all clear, hooked it up and got the rubber side down. Fired up, pulled it the rest of the way out of the ditch and followed her back home. All safe and sound with some minor soreness and some body work for the truck.

I've learned over the last month that this is touchy with some.
I've also learned that the re-design this year is not being taken well by a lot of the die hard Dodge/RAM'ers. I don't get any waves or approving looks from those with 2018 and older models.
I feel like I'm asking a Jeep Liberty question to a bunch of Wrangler Rubicon guys.
At least I don't have an annoying coolant leak any more.

Sous, I would be extremely careful about carrying / traveling with any weapon in NJ / Phila. While it may be legal, some Phila cops are very anti 2A and will do pretty much anything to violate your rights and put you in the pokey.. I will never carry in the city again, and pretty much never go there even though it's right next door. Certainly do not carry it on you. If an anti-gun cop evens thinks you're carrying, that's gives him the ability to stop and search you, and if he finds the gun, then clearly you weren't carrying "concealed" and now you're toast. I've been stopped and questioned for wearing a jacket in nice weather near U-Penn.
My experience with anti-guns cops in NJ dates back to '86 on the turnpike, when our out of state Florida tags got me and my Navy buddies pulled over, searched and arrested for no reason whatsoever. Fortunately the Navy backed us up and everything was cleared up very quickly. The cop actually threatened me and showed a old revolver he would "plant" on my body if I didn't comply with his request to search my car and trailer. He's no longer around as he went to the federal pen a few years later for similar misdeeds, at the time he pulled us over he was under a federal investigation for civil rights violations. Courtesy of the FBI, we had a free reunion in '91 when they invited us to the Phila office to submit written testimony about the events when he arrested us in '86. I would hope things are better now, but out-of-state drivers in any state are always at risk, since you generally have fewer resources available to you when away from home.

I ended up leaving the knives and gun in the camper in our secure storage. Too much of a hassle to carry in the city.
Yesterday I intervened a situation where a guy was attempting to ****** a womans purse. I was commended by 3 strangers, but also told "don't help anyone in the city" or something similar.
Sad, truly sad...
I cannot wait to get out of the city, but am enjoying the food and some of the sights immensely.
