Isn't that Coronado? I haven't been there since 2016. My inlaws have a condo there in the background, one of their rentals.

Good eye. Yes it is. I worked next to that beach (on the Navy base) for 13 years.

Filled up yesterday. Deepest I've run the tank (low fuel light) but it was still just above 'E' (probably still had 1-2 gallons left when I pulled up to the pump). The Mrs. wasn't happy when it posted to the account ...

Trip odometer was over 470 miles (never been over 450 without filling up before). Probably could have hit 500 miles but I already had a pucker factor of 10 so pulled in for a fill-up. I don't have an aux tank or cans in the back for emergencies so wasn't going to push it any farther than I had ("hey honey I was trying to see if I could go 500 miles before filling up but I ran out so can you come pick me up on the side of the freeway?" was not a conversation that would have gone well...at all). The truck runs better with at least 1/2 tank anyway. It could just be my imagination but the the NPSH provided by the height of the fuel seems to keep the fuel pump happy.

Hand calculated to 15.27 mpg for the tank. Much better than the 14 mpg I was getting with my original injectors. 36 more years and the new injectors will have paid for themselves!

When I'm looking for the bottom of my fuel tank I keep a can in the back.

Nice. Couldn't quite tell as I'm not really a bird dog guy. I just have friends with dogs. Had a buddy with a Dratthar. That was a cool dog.

Brian, you probably still had more like 3-4 gallons left in the tank. Several times now, I've driven up to the pump and filled up with over 34 gallons, one time was very close to 35 gallons, and that was without have seen any signs of running out of fuel. I do fill up until I can see the fuel at the top of the neck, though, which is generally about 1 gallon past "click-off".

I simply love it when these hardhead and ignorant Nebraskan mid-westerners tell me how expensive CA is when they learn I from there. Um nope, your vehicle registration for both vehicles was 2 times my last CA registration. And your diesel is a whopping 10-15 cents cheaper than CA....so STFU!!!! LOL Even rental houses are nto chep and no one lives here. It's interesting.

On a side note, what do my CA bros think about the props being voted on? I was reading in a different forum. Sounds like another f***fest.
