Wow, snow, cold and ice. At least you can dip your rod in the water and knock the ice off. Don't see any fish pics, How'd you do. Beautiful country!!

I went yesterday and caught 16 bass with the largest being about 5 lbs. Short sleeves, 75 degrees, light breeze. Arms and neck got a little red from the Sun.

5lbs..👍, caught the lunker!
It was a trip up there with weather. Atop where the lakes were, was a searing 41*. Down at Owens/395(17 miles east/west) was 88*, lol...but the wind, made it brutal let alone flying. We figured out something to wash the skunk off goin into sunday. Ended up doing purdy good. Between us both, was 12 caught, biggest was about 1.5# brown. Few rainbow beauties(not stockers). Not sure if combo of cold and size but broke my 9fter rod, haha....even with waders, the wind made it almost unbareable to hold our beers, let alone get pics but its all catch/release for us👍...heading back for memorial. Hopefully snows gone to hit the Muir trail to find back country lakes..🎣

Glad you had a good time Timmy. You got to eat some of those things. My son does that with his large mouth bass he catches. I said, you ever eat one of them with a good shake and bake beer batter? Had a friend who fished tournaments and did that with his bass. Talk about something good, cold or hot.

Sous, can I talk you into putting up a link to your H/H Mod? I looked through your threads but can't find it.

Thanks Wesley, I don't get on here as much in the spring/summer as I do in the winter.

I'm with Rich... Too cold for my blood. Pretty, but too cold...

ZachinCO is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
Been busy with the day job. One of the pluses is getting to see countryside.
