Any headlight upgrades for 15-16 Expedition?
I've got the 2016 XLT with reflector headlights and the low beam is absolutely horrid; especially when it's raining! I've been searching for days for some aftermarket headlights or if the older F-150 lights will fit, but I can't find anything.
I'd love to switch to projector and also go from halogen to HID or LED for even better lighting. Can anyone help me with this? I can't afford to buy the OEM projector...they're extremely expensive.

I put these in my 2015 low beams and they are a little better but not a huge difference.
.
My next move is going to be this LED kit https://www.xenonhids.com/low-beam-h...t-kit.html?i=6

I ordered some PIAA H9 bulbs. They can easily be adapted to fit the H11 housing and are 65 Watts instead of 55. I'll be keeping a close eye on the housing to make sure it doesn't heat up too much. I'm just not buying into the LED conversion just yet...maybe. I'll try some if these PIAAs don't work well enough.
She also hates (so do I) the stock Goodyears, so I've got some Pirelli Scorpions on order. Discount Tire is giving me $300 for my Goodyears, so I'm pretty happy.

First things first, most people want to ' upgrade" to led headlights now. Simple question to you, do you want to upgrade to led and downgrade light output and nighttime visibility, disturb oncoming drivers? That is what every single led kit below $120 online is doing for you right now. It's made on purpose to make you think they are BRIGHT by creating a "high beam" or " flash light" pattern for your low beams, this is a potential danger people are not aware of and we want to share it with you because this is what we do every day.
Projector Headlights, mark the option for HID Kit 35W Canbus ( Do not buy led kit for projectors as it will decrease light output to half! No need to mark any other option besides color, 6000k is pure white)
Best option for Projector Headlights
Reflector Headlights, mark the option for LED Kit 12000 LMS ( No need to mark any other options)
Beware of junk led kits that will produce a lot of glare, overheat, beam pattern is not adjustable and the usable lumens is highly reduced from halogen, let alone light output )
Best option for Reflector Headlights
Hope that clears the ongoing questions about what the best option is from our selection.
Good luck and please post pictures of our headlights installed.

I'm pretty happy with the output of the H9s. It's definitely a whiter color and it seems to put out a bit more light than before. Most of all, my wife is happy with them (for now) and I can move on to other things.
If you are looking to upgrade your H11 reflector headlights, but don't want to move to LED just yet, I suggest you look at the H9 upgrade.
I don't have any before pictures, but I'll be sure to take some afters and post them.

Those Pirellis ROCK! It makes such a big difference in driving. I noticed her mileage has gone up a little over 1 MPG too.
I'm pretty pleased with the headlights right now. It's not the brightest set on the road, but they'll do for now until something affordable comes along to improve them. Ford shouldn't put anything but projectors or better on these trucks. It's just not right putting inferior lights on a $50k+ vehicle.
