Hidden codes
I have an 89 f150 4.9 standard with 5 speed OD
my issues are driving me crazy. I am just starting my apprenticeship for technician and get lots of help from the journeymen there, but my truck tends to be a little old for them.
2 scenarios
1: Driving up hill, truck will buck with a CEL flash. Not steady.
2: Driving up hill, WOT, my CEL will flash a couple times then become solid. Top of the hill I release pedal and the CEL turns off.
once home, I ran codes and got 82 84.
i replaced vacuum lines, egr, egr vacuum regulator, both airb & aird solenoids, replaced upper manifold throttle body EGR and IAC gaskets, adjusted timing, fixed a couple GROUND wires.
Still have those hidden codes.
in the past year or 2 I had a bunch of work done, including cleaning my injectors, throttle body, IAC.
Replaced spark plugs and wires, MAP, TPS, distributor cap and rotor, PCV valve, fuel filter, and fuel pressure regulator.
im going to do a compression test soon, but is there anything that I keep overlooking
