Leather seats uncomfortable to you?
Am I the only one who finds the leather seats uncomfortable? I'm referring to the seats in my '99 Mountaineer. They appear to be, and feel like, more or less the same as what comes in the EB. The lumbar support feels too high and pushes my upper body forward so that I can't comfortably rest my head on the headrest. I sat in a '99 or 2000 Limited in the junkyard and those seats felt the same, which is really unfortunate. Those seats were in excellent condition. That Explorer only had 150k on it. The cloth seats in my '98 feel much better but finding cloth seats in good shape in the junkyard is nearly impossible. They're almost always greasy from people getting in there with their dirty clothes or they've gotten moldy from being exposed to the rain.
I'll keep looking for some cloth seats from another Explorer or Ranger. If anybody has suggestions on other options, let me know. Aerostar seats will probably also fit, but you don't see too many around anymore. Two weeks ago, I only saw two at one yard and the other yards that were within 30 miles had none. And for some reason, Aerostar seats seem to always be thrashed.
