Sirius XM/radio problem

I have a 2015 KR. I have had problems with the backup camera it is fixed now, i hope. Now fast forward the Sirius XM is not working right it has been in the shop with parts replaced. Will be going back in Monday. When you pull into the garage and pull out the next day it will not connect to a satellite, but after it set out side and i get off from work it will connect. I'm 20 miles from work with no obstructions. Now the radio will not pickup a signal sometimes AM or FM. Has anyone had this problem? The shop seems to be getting to the point that they can not fix it. Sirius has refreshed the radio countless times. Sorry for the long post

I`ve heard of people having Sirius XM reception issues on some 2015-2016 F150`s and the problem was the actual antenna. If I recall, there was a TSB from Ford about this and they had to replace the antenna.

Do you know if they replaced your antenna and were your repairs done at a Ford dealership?

You can do a Google search about this issue and plenty of info will come up.

The FM & AM problems you`re having is something new to me.

Have you tried a Master Reset?

Let us know.

Well I just don't know what to do. Now my AM and FM will not work. I did smell some smoke. Call the shop and told them, all they ask was do I still smell smoke. I said no. The Sirius XM seems to work as long as truck stays outside. As far as parts they replaced some board where the CD player is. This has been a on going thing. Just like the mirrors when you get into the truck tilting all the way up sometimes then going back to the last preset. Then the backup camera. Makes me wonder if its all related. I'm not bashing Ford love the truck just like to see it get fixed. Been with Ford for many years.

Take it to a different dealer. Your seems to have substandard service. In the past I've gone to one dealer and was told "it's normal", then to another to have the problem properly diagnosed and fixed.

Thanks GABAR Well it is fixed now. I had to take it to another dealership but Ford finally let them change the antenna after 4 trips. It is working great.

I have noticed the 2018's now have the shark-fin instead of the hockey puck antenna.

Sirius

Have a 2013 F150 Lariat. In Sirius radio I subscribed to all channels, Yet it stops about Channel 208.It should go to high 400s.
I heard it can be reset by pulling the fuse. Should radio be on when I do this and thanks?

Your statement is not correct.
You do not get all those channels.

Not all trucks have the sharkfin, I have seen a few with the old hocky puck. I don't know why they are like that but just observed while driving around the Ford dealer lot.

The factory Ford radios with Sirius does not and cannot receive all of the Sirius channels. I noticed this when I was out of town and I had to rent a vehicle. It was a Ram and it was able to get all of the Sirius channels and I also noticed it when I listen online.

You need to be in horizon to horizon sky clearance with no tall buildings of trees in order to get the best signal. You should call Sirius and have them send you another signal.
