hahahah...
Just checked my brake lights--nothing..just got the truck so who knows how long its been going on..but my rear right light is out completely..prob get all new bulbs and start from there to see what I got.

Those clamp-on electrical splice connectors aren't factory, somebody did something there in the past.
I haven't looked in the books to find all the different brake light switch variations available from the factory over the years, you can do that if you like.
Beginning with bulbs, their sockets & grounds is a great place to start... and that switch hangin' by the wires is a key component as to why the brake lights don't work but just remember there are different circuits making ALL this stuff work as designed.

I have a short attention span, so maybe I missed this.. but did you reinstall that switch on your brake pedal arm?
When you look at the pedal arm and where the brake booster (or master cylinder) linkage connects, is there a switch there now?
I think you need to install that switch in your first post and then your brake lights will work again. I'll bet someone removed the switch to make those wiring connections and just never reinstalled the switch.
