The stereo in my truck made a LOUD POP (like scared the crap out of me), shut off then turned itself back on. Then it happened a few more times over the course of a month or two. Last time it happened, it didn't come back on. If I hit the power button, I get the clock briefly but then the screen goes dark again. None of the buttons does anything and I can't connect to bluetooth.

Anyone have a recommendation where to start? Fuses? Is this a known issue with these trucks?

i pulled fuse #29 (read that elsewhere). The fuse looks fine. With it out, now the radio display shows the "F-150" welcome text and it stays on that. With the fuse in, it went away and the clock would flash on as described.

anyone? ideas?
