1950 F1: What kind of 12 volt battery do people recommend
I have a 1950 F1 226 6 Cycle and the battery is dead. The current battery has been in the truck for about 6 years. It was a Duralast Gold 35-DLG (cold cranking amps 640, reserve capacity 100, cranking amps at 32 degrees 800).
I am in need of a new battery and wanted to hear what people recommend. I live in south central IN and I try to drive the truck at least once a week between March-December. The winter months it depends on the weather.
Does anyone have any recommendations? Should I go with the same battery or are there others out there that are as good or better. If I go with the same battery, anyone have an idea what I should pay for it? Obviously, I would like to get the best battery for the best price.
Thoughts?
Thanks.
Brian
