Titan for sure, have mine installed about a month now. Got the gen6 version using the factory torque ring on the sending unit ensures no leaks just like OEM. Also the straps don't use the shims, bolting to the factory points anymore. I had my dealership program DTE for 50g. Best mod, yet. Glad I waited for titan to listen to its customers. Pull a 8000lbs tt 11.6 mpg now have a range of 450mi versus 200 crazy difference. Fuel gauge will not move off full until I have burned at least 7.5 gal out of the tank. OEM would be near half. Great addition.
I’m not sure how the after market looks at capacity when they rate a tank. I just installed an in bed RDS 60 gallon that was bone dry and all I could fit was 54. I’ve read you need to leave 10% for expansion, is that what we are up against?
I have had the 60 gal rds toolbox tank for a few years and have never been able to get more than 55 gallons in. I have not called them about it. A couple times in the summer when very full I have had overflow out the vent

The other nice thing about the Gen 6 is that they no longer ship the straps inside the tank. Did you buy the shield and install the rubbers between the shield and straps? If you bought the shield did you do anything between the shield and tank to prevent sand and small pebbles from getting caught in that gap?

They could have put a larger one in for sure, I don't think 50 but certainly more than 26. The Titan direct replacement does hang down a tad bit lower than the factory tank so if I did any serious "off roading" over hill and dales it would concern me a little, the other thing that the Titan tank is missing is the aluminum shield between the tank and driveshaft. I'm guessing some safety nerd asked "what if the spinning driveshaft picks something up and slams it against the tank"? The other PIA is that most fueling stations only let you pump $100.00; you have to do 2 transactions. Knit picking here for sure, nothing beats this thing, I love it, can't say enough about driving by gas stations. Annoyed at myself that it took me almost 3 years to do it.
