Ok, but what happens when you get out on the road. Anybody can see it then. Parking lots and such also. One doesn't cover it every time they leave it somewhere. BTW, my user name is my name.

"SESWIM" ...I assumed you coached a swimming team in the southeast & didn't suspect it was your name.

Folks out in public have not been privy to the conversations we've had in here. Some things discussed here have been a little sensitive. Case in point: One poster showed where he hid his garage door opener inside his truck. As easy as it is to break into the 2017 SD & 2015-on F150, his home (and family) would then be vulnerable.

Either way, whatever makes you warm and fuzzy, doesn't really matter either way. Just a waste of time really. Most of those pictures have GPS data in the EXIF metadata on them. I doubt you're stripping meta data from your photos and that's a much bigger security concern then a license plate.

Sorry. Turning off the GPS data was one of the first things I did with my so-called smart phone ... basic op-sec procedure.

Seems a little paranoid. You really think someone is going to search forums, then try to find out where someone lives, then go through the act of committing a felony. That's waaaaay too much work for your average thief. They are just going to snag whatever they can wherever they can. This isn't some mission impossible **** lol.

Not criticizing any one for being proactive and trying to prevent identity theft and such. Just seems a little silly regarding the license plate "cover up".
