How often and how far is the key question. A diesel will provide you with longer life if the towing is heavy, often and over long distances.
A V10 will do the job if you tow a few times a year.

I think they have worked out most of the bugs on the V-10 But are just starting to find the bugs with the 6.0..
I would give it a year+ before I spent my $$ on a 6.0
You should have no problem towing or plowing with the V-10.
